Registering A Business Name

I would first off like to say sorry that I haven’t posted on here in a very long time. This is partially due to a lot of things going on.

I have decided to branch out on my own for now, and have to go through the steps of registering a business name. I was completely new to this and therefore had to research it for a bit. The following are the steps to take:

  • The very first step is to reserve your name. Eg. Brenelz Web Solutions. Make sure to pick something unique as if it is too similar to someone else they might reject it. There is also a filing fee involved that is $40.
  • Once you have this done, you have to file another form that has a little more detail as to what your business is about. This costs an additional $45.
  • Once all these papers have been processed you can go to your local bank and open a business account with that name.
