JavaScript is one technology that has had a lot of buzz over the past few years.  It has great capabilities, but is often misused.

JavaScript is used to enhance a websites functionality.  It allows you to validate forms, make changes to the page on the fly and much more.

AJAX is one of those buzz words that might be a bit overused.  The reason for all the hype is because it is slowly narrowing the gap between web apps and desktop applications.  I am sure you have used Google Maps, or Gmail at one time or another.  Both of these cutting-edge web apps use this technology heavily.

Now all this JavaScript magic is fine and dandy when a user has JavaScript enabled, but what happens when it isn’t?  We make sure our applications degrade gracefully, which in essence means they will still work without JavaScript, but won’t offer the user the full interactive experience.  Once again, most winnipeg web companies will avoid this important concept.
